Upon request, a third gas can be fed into the incubating chamber. Different percentages of three gas (typically CO2, O2 and air) are mixed in the control unit and are continuously fed into the incubating chamber to control medium pH and other experimental parameters.

Special Petri Dishes

Glass-Bottom Metal Dishes:

They allow to replace glass-bottom plastic dishes. Very simple to use, they represent a very cost-effective solution when oil-immersion objectives are required. They can be sterilized by autoclaving. No toxic materials (glass, elastomer, silicon and EPDM) are used. Thanks to their heat conductive properties, the Glass-Bottom Metal Dishes allow to minimize Heat-Sink phenomena. They are available in two models differing for the observation area (6 and 18 mm) and for medium volume (2000 and 200 microliters).

Sealed Dishes:

Sealed dishes are specimen supports available in different materials (Teflon, Stainless Steel or Anodized Aluminum). They are particularly suited for material science applications, in which solvent evaporation has to be prevented. They fit into the Sealed Sample Top Stage Incubator. Typical applications are product stability analysis, phase transitions, crystallization, etc., for any fluids, blends, emulsions, food, physiological fluids, cells and tissues cultivation. Sealed dishes allow to load the specimen between two cover slips at a fixed gap controlled by a spacer. No toxic materials (glass, elastomer, silicon and EPDM) are used. They can be sterilized by autoclaving. Available in two different models differing for the diameter (30 and 35mm) and for the medium volume (0.3 and 0.4 ml).

Perfusion Chamber:

It can be used for both Closed and Open perfusion cultivation, moreover, the Perfusion Chamber can substitute any 35mm plastic Petri dishes and used as Glass-Bottom Metal Dish. Suitable for long distance and oil immersion observation and for all microscope techniques, upright and inverted microscopy. The very small volume imaging chamber features fast closed perfusion exchange. Thanks to a diamond-shape bath a laminar flow inside chamber volume is achievable. Pumps or gravity-fed systems can drive the perfusion. The tubes connection is fast and reliable thanks to fast barb fittings connectors. No toxic materials (glass, elastomer, silicon and EPDM) are used. The metallic parts of the Perfusion Chamber can be sterilized by autoclaving. Observation window 8.0 mm OD. Medium volume is 0.4 ml.
